Back in December we decided to give the kids their own rooms.

A little space in the house to call their own.

I decided to keep my daughter's room with the black and white theme, but decided to add some pops pink and gold. (You can see what the what it looked like >>> HERE <<< )

I had plans for a few DIY projects before I posted, but life is so busy that I just haven't got to do any of them (planning for the near future though, so stay tuned)

 

My favorite is hearing my daughter reading from her room.

In her own little world, with out a care expect for those words on the pages.

I find myself sitting in the corner imagining her growing up in this space.

Will it change as she grows?

What will her style be like?

Will she love antiques as much as her mother does?

 

As I tuck her in at night, I kiss her goodnight and pray she knows just how much I love her.

baby shower || the details

My sister and her husband are expecting their first baby due this October. We are so thrilled and can't wait to meet this little guy who is already loved by so many already!!

 

This past weekend a group of wonderful ladies threw her the most beautiful baby shower. Every detail was just perfect and so fitting for the occasion. Delicious parfait station and to die for tostadas were some of the yummy foods we all enjoyed. And the desserts.... they kind of left you speechless!

 

It was so great to see so many wonderful ladies shower my sister with so much love and laughter. I am so excited for this next chapter of her life, motherhood is life changing and amazing!

- a place to gather to create lots of memories

 

Spent the day at my mom's this weekend. She had the kids help her mix up some sourdough bread. The kids were tickled they got to add the ingredients and stir it all together.

I love watching them with my mom, they all have a blast together. And it always ends with "That was so much fun GiGi!!"  I grabbed my camera (which I have been good about keeping with me this past week) and snapped some quick photos.
