I love Young Living. Like really love them. I use my oils religiously everyday on myself and my family and I love talking about them with others. Every month my mom and I host classes to share how awesome this company is and how these oils have really changed our lives. This past month we decided to offer a little something different- a Make & Take party. These oils are great by themselves or blended with other fabulous oils, but you can actually do so much more with them. We wanted to share how you can start incorporating them in daily homemade products that are made from pure, natural ingredients, that you can actually pronounce too! I thought I would share what we made and their recipes so you can give them a try yourself!
Stress Away Bath Salts
- 8 drops Young Living Stress Away essential oil
- 1/2 cup Sea Salt
- 1/4 cup Epsom Salt
- Container to store (found ours here)
Mix ingredients together in a glass bowl and store in your container until ready to use. When ready to use, draw a warm bath and add about half of the salt to your bath and enjoy!
Cedarwood Salt Scrub
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup Sea Salt
- 8 drops Young Living Cedarwood essential oil
- Container (found ours here)
Mix ingredients together and store in a sealed container until ready to use. This scrub is great for dry or oily skin. (you can opt for a sugar scrub, but we don't like ants)
Chest Rub
- 1 cup melted Coconut oil
- 16 drops Young Living Peppermint essential oil
- 16 drops Young Living Eucalyptus Globulus essential oil (if you are using on children under 10, use Young Livings Eucalyptus Radiata instead)
- mason jar
Melt coconut oil and pour into jar. As the coconut oil cools add in your essential oils and stir together. Set aside and let coconut oil set up. This rub is great if you are feeling under the weather and are stuffed up.
*If you are using on children under 10 then use on their feet only.
Lavender Lip Balm
- 2 tbsp. Olive Oil
- 2 tbsp. Coconut Oil
- 2 tbsp. beeswax
- 1 tsp raw honey
- 8 drops lavender
- Lip Balm Container (found ours here)
Warm the coconut oil, olive oil, and beeswax in a double boiler on a very low heat. Stir until the beeswax is completely melted. Removing from heat and quickly whisk in the essential oil. Place the bottom in a shallow bowl of ice water and continue whisking as you add in the honey. Spoon the balm in to each container and allow to sit for about 3 hours.
I am excited to share later this month what we are making at our next Make and Take party! What are some of your favorite homemade products using Young Living Essential oils??
