nephew

Back in September (consider this a #latergram-ish) my sister and her husband welcomed a handsome little guy to their family. Before he made his grand arrival there were a few false alarms and visits to the hospital hoping it was a "today's the day" visit. The first couple weren't but I felt so lucky to be able to come sit with them as they waited for their little guy to decide what was up.

I brought my camera down on one of their false alarm hospital stays and snapped a few images around the room as we patiently waited and waited.

Back in early December (yes, I have been slacking) I had the pleasure of photographing this adorable family! Sonia and I met through social media (Instagram to be exact) and we have tons of mutual friends, but had never met in person. I was so thrilled when she contacted me about getting some photos done of her family, we would finally meet in person! We had so much fun and have plans for future kiddo play dates as well!

This past weekend I got to surprise a lovely birthday girl celebrating her 'Sweet 16' with a fun photoshoot. My friend Shelby set up a birthday scavenger hunt for Alexa around town, hitting each planned spot then revealing a clue to the next. What a fun way to celebrate with friends!

 

Of course it decided to rain through out the morning, not what we had anticipated. But we made it work and those girls were troopers! Alexa's mom was so sweet to hold an umbrella over me to- THANK YOU!!
