{THANKFUL THURSDAY} Girls Night Out
Happy Thursday Everyone!!!
And it's another post for Thankful Thursday!!
Since becoming a mom, my get together with friends have kind of been pushed to the side. I have done many play dates with other mommy friends and their little munchkins, which is awesome cause then the kids have little friends to chase around and the mommy's get to play catch up on life and everything in between. Lately though, I have been making a point to get together outside of play dates, don't get me wrong, I love play dates!! But sometimes as a mom, we need just that small little window of time to just let our hair down, or in my case up, to just relax, chat and enjoy a glass of wine...or two. Even if it's just for an hour, it seems to be enough time to let your mind just breath for a bit and recharge in a way. Although, I have to admit I am guilty of constantly talking about my munchkins a ton, even on these fun Girls Night Outs. I guess I can't completely shut my brain off. They are my life, it's hard not to think of them 24/7, even when I am just running to the store really quick or trying to enjoy a fun night with a few great friends.
But I think it is a healthy thing for moms to get out here and there (I am not talking about partying). I am trying to be a better friend by taking advantage of these times, and I think in doing so I am also becoming a better me which carries over into being a better mom.
This girl and I have been friends for 6 years! We met in beauty school and worked at our first salon together, which she still works at. We have so many amazing stories and memories we have made that always bring us to tears from so much laughter!! And it doesn't matter how much time has passed since the last time we saw each other, we always seem to know where we left off and start from there. Plus fill each other in on the juicy details of everything that has happened since then too!
Another fun thing about Girls Night Out, you get to play dress up too!
A little makeup, flowy tops, and some heels... Then add in the great company paired with a nice glass of vino, and it all makes for a FABULOUS night out!

Normal...
Lil Miss went in for her lab work yesterday afternoon.
They tested her for hypoglycemia and diabetes.
It's truly amazing at the service that some people give and think is just fabulous! What we received in our Hospital from the Little Lab Lady, was anything BUT fabulous! I understand when people get busy with work and there is nothing that they can do to speed up the process, it happens. But when some one is deliberately taking their sweet time because they think they have the upper hand in this situation, that's where I start to get...ANGRY! It's hard enough to wait in such a daunting place anyways, but when you add 2 little munchkins under the age of 3 to your waiting, things can get crazy! If her constant walking back and forth with out any updates of how much longer it would be until she would see us wasn't annoying enough, she threw in a few eye rolls when my son (who I think was also annoyed with her) started to get cranky from our almost 10 minute wait...Mind you, we were the only ones in there and she had already taken our paper work, not quite sure what the hold up was?
She finally popped out from behind her little curtain and let us know that it would about another 10 MINUTES!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!!!! I don't know if we can last another 10 minutes in this place and endure more of this craziness!
We told her that we were going to wait in the car, where the kids could at least watch some Mickey Mouse and would be back in 10 MINUTES to check if she was ready for us yet. As we settle into the car for a bit, my mom went back to see what the status of our 10 MINUTE wait was. Before she was given the verdict, the Little Lab Lady proceed to ask my mom:
"Will the mom be holding IT?"
WHAAAAAAT?!?! IT!! Lucky for my mom knows how to let someone know when they need to be put in their place with out getting all JANKY on them!
My mom kindly, no, sternly let her know that:
"No, the mom will not be holding HER, I will!"
OH MY DEAR! Some people I tell you!!
Lil Miss got her little arm poked and we were done!
I got a call from the Pediatrician's office this afternoon with the results. Everything was normal. Which the Dr told us he thought it would be anyways because the test was done so late in the day after eating and drinking. But normal is a good thing, although it still doesn't give us an answer as to why what happened on Sunday happened. I am waiting to hear back from the Dr on whether or not we should do follow up testing or start to monitor her glucose levels through out the day and see if we see any changes at home. In talking with a few friends and family members, they have all said that it sound like there is something wrong and we should still continue to search for the cause and a solution to what ever it is.
So now we wait for more answers...

{Weekend Rewind} Playing, Rearranging and Instagraming
IT'S MONDAY!!! Hope you all had a great weekend!!
I first want to say "Welcome" to my new followers! Thank you for
taking the time to follow and read my little bloggie!
Well, we had a fun weekend. The kids of course tore through the house like a TORNADO! So that left me to clean up behind them. I love watching them play lately. They have been enjoying each others company so much more these days. They definitely have their crazy sibling moments, but those seem to be few and far between now. I think they might actually like each other!! (YAY!!)
I wish I would have taken a before picture. If you can picture it, this area was just the table with out the two cabinets. And I had the receivers sitting down on the table. Well my little hoolagins think that it's is funny to push all the buttons or try and stick things into the USB ports. It kind of drives me crazy! I thought that one of these red cabinets would solve my problem, which it did. Receiver is completely out of their reach, until they hit their growth spurts. But just one looked a little lop-sided. I am so glad that I had 2! I don't know why but this little change has really made me fall in love with my living room! I am still lacking in the wall decoration part, but I think this is a step forward in the right direction!! I got a few suggestions to put a frame around the TV, and I think we are going to do it!!! It's only taken me a year and several rearrangements to finally feel happy with how it looks!

If you haven't checked out her stuff, you are totally missing out!! She has fun fonts and icons and also shows you how to upload them on to your iPhone to use them in the Phonto app!! Just when I thought the iPhone couldn't get any better...
Also, the app Snapster+ is pretty amazing as well. It gives this fun dreamy, rainbow effect.
PicFx is another amazing photo editing app, if you have seen the Bokeh all over the place (fun little light flares), this is the app that does it!!

Just got off the phone with the pediatrician's office.
Lil Miss is going in at 3:15 for a physical and some lab work.
Hoping that we can find something or even just find out that she is completely fine.
