a day at the children's museum

Last week I got the chance to take the kids to our local children's museum. I have been meaning to take them forever, just seems I always for get that we actually have one! There are 2 in our county, and the one nearest to us is fairly new by a couple of years. I knew the kids would enjoy exploring all the fun toys and neat exhibits they offer the little ones. The Fire Truck was the biggest hit, they kind of ignored the entire building after awhile. It was so neat to see their faces light up. I can't wait to take them back with Dad so he can enjoy their excitement as well.

typical day

 Most of our days run like clock-work and run smooth with minor kinks... Other days I am counting down the minutes until my hubby gets home to help me wrangle these silly monkeys!

Here are some snippets from a typical day in our house.

:: Morning snuggles in our bed ::

:: If I am home all day, I literally just wear work out clothes and shoes (most of the time with no intention of actually working out. French Toast, dishes, Hubby makes some lunch for work, and more dishes ::

:: Food coma, cartoons (yes, my kids watch TV, judge away all you want). I will introduce you to 1 of our 3 dogs. He is my vacuum through out the day ::

:: Hoping she's a Yankee Girl like her Mama!! ::

:: It always looks like a tornado tore through the house... And I can't stand it, so 5 minutes after I took this picture I picked it all up and vacuumed the entire floor. I have become OCD about this since becoming a mom LOL ::

So that's as exciting as it gets. The rest of the day usually consist of cuddling, cuddling, coloring, cuddling, snacks, attack Dad when he gets home, cuddling, dinner, bath, bed.

Truly Blessed

Today I was having one of those "I feel truly blessed" days. 

I embraced some special moments with each of the munchkins.

Felt appreciative that I get to spend every day with these two little humans,

and I get to be there Mom...

I really couldn't ask for a better life!

{THANKFUL Thursday} AMAZING Pediatricians!

Today Lil Man had his 16 month Well Check visit. 

Weighed in at 23 lbs and is 31 1/2 inches long!!

Can't believe how much he has grown since he was born, kind crazy to think that about a year and a half 

ago he was this tiny 7 lb little squirt! GEEZ time sure does fly!

I have to say, I got so lucky in choosing our pediatrician for our kids. Well, it was actually pretty easy, I was one of his first patients when he started almost 26 years ago. (Oh Dear, I am aging...)

I continued to see him until I was about 18... Guess it would be time to find a regular doctor...

So when it came time to find the PERFECT doctor to see my children, it was kind of a no brainer! 

He is the most down to earth man and so easy going. The kids LOVE him!

He always makes sure that his little patients are well taken care of and thoroughly answers any CRAZY MOM questions I may have. Always assures me that I am a great Mom and raising BEAUTIFUL children (well, I think so too...)

I love that he supports my option to spread out vaccinations and never makes me feel like anything that I am doing as a parent is wrong.

And all of the girls in the office are amazing as well! 

I am so THANKFUL that my little ones are blessed with such an exceptional Pediatrician!!
